The Characters

The characters of “After the Third” take on a life of their own in a very complex and misleading environment. Although there are only sixteen personalities pictured right, the true list of individuals that will be brought to this story will continue to grow as some leave… one way or another. Ideally the story line allows itself for a realistic approach to dynamic character development and allows everyone involved a sense of vulnerability. Remember, this is supposed to be a reflection of reality. No one is safe from removal and no one has the utmost protection. And though many of these characters will return in future scripts, it’s safe to say that even after they are gone their presence will still linger.

These people are glorified personalities of true-life individuals I have met in my life. Their actions, speech and dress are directly attributed to how they present themselves on a daily basis and thus were not designed to enhance drama as much as increase the reality factor. I always felt that throughout the world strong personalities existed amongst many who buffer their impact on each other. In this world that buffer is gone. There are no pawns, forests, walls or dividing lines to separate these kings and queens of their craft. They are forced to share a similar kingdom as well as a similar demise.

Feel free to read the brief descriptions of each character on the right. They have been given single word titles that define a specific and most prominent role in their time here. Do not confuse these titles as rules. For example Victoria Cross has a role of “The Puppeteer”, but that doesn’t mean she is the only one who holds the strings. She just happens to accomplish the most with that gift.
